That means no lucrative record deals or recording contracts.

Very simply put: the earnings from THIS project are turned around and invested into the NEXT project.

What does that have to do with iTunes?

Well, when you buy music from iTunes, Apple takes a HUGE percentage of the total price you pay, and then pass a portion on to the artist.

That’s why Sam worked with some friends to setup the Lucas Gambit web store, where you can buy all of his music in CD or .mp3 form at prices competitive with iTunes, but without the overhead of giving all the money to Apple.
